Kanye West becomes a father on Father's Day Weekend, as Kim Kardashian gives birth to the couple's baby girl a reported five weeks early.It has been a busy first-half of
June for Kanye West. Less than one week before his sixth solo album, Yeezus, will hit stores on June 18, West and girlfriend Kim Kardashian now welcomed their first child, a baby girl this morning (June 15).
Us Weekly reports that Kardashian gave birth in the last 24 hours, accompanied by West at Los Angeles, California's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The baby was expected in the first half of July, but was delivered nearly one month early. "[The baby girl's birth] five weeks early. Kim got sick last night and had the baby early," a source told the celebrity magazine. Us also reported that both the newborn baby and her mother are healthy after the delivery. The baby's name has also not been released to the public.
Kanye West, who was in New York earlier in the week, was in California when Kim went into labor. The superstar emcee/producer was expected at L.A.'s Milk Hangar last night (June 14) for a Yeezus listening event and party. However, West did not attend, after apparently accompanying Kardashian to the hospital.
Earlier this month,WATU SMART ENTERTAINMENT reported on the gender of the baby, which was unveiled courtesy of E!'s Keeping Up With Kardashians reality television show. The couple announced Kim's pregancy during a 2012 New Years Eve celebration in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Last month, a source claiming to be close to the couple revealed to media that they intend to bring the baby on Kanye West's upcoming tour.
